Unlike conventional permanent magnet DC motors that employ an iron core wrapped with copper wire, a coreless DC motor features a self-supporting, skew-wound cylindrical coil rotor. By eliminating the heavy, laminated steel sheets from the rotating element, coreless technology achieves engineering milestones that traditional motors cannot reproduce.
Without stator slots, there is zero magnetic variation when the rotor turns.
